Minutes of the Meeting of Parish Council held in The Cabin, Blackmoor Farm, Doddington on Monday 12th August 2019

Lincolnshire Police • 16/7/19 – Burglary, Kennel Lane – 1 male suspect detained – Well done Police Dog Boris!

• 26/7/19 – Theft of plants, Doddington Hall.

• 26/7/19 – Theft of planters, Kennel Lane.

• 3/8/19  - Theft of lead and timber – Whisby Road.

NKDC No reports

LCC Cllr Thompson reported on: 

• PL/0055/18 Jerusalem Farm: site visit and application hearing. Application refused by majority vote with one abstention. 

• LCC Website upgrade. Beta release and and full availability later in the year. 

• Attended meeting between Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable making annual report

19:82 Minutes of previous meetings  

 It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That the minutes of the Meeting of Parish Council held on 8th July 2019 be approved.

19:83 Matters arising from minutes 

i. 18.69 Restrictions on traffic travelling on B1190 through Doddington Crane had damaged verge at Pont’s Corner. To be reported to LCC Highways. 

ii. 18.99 Refurbishment of the Doddington telephone kiosk 

Prices considered for glazing- 

• whole kiosk with glass will be approx £700 plus VAT; 

• partial glazing, replacement of damaged poly panels with glass approx £300; 

• replace poly panels with similar approx £200

It was Proposed, Seconded and Resolved that all panels be replaced with glass 

iii. 18.130 Community Speed Watch. A training session was planned but cancelled due to numbers attending; this will be rearranged for September. One extra volunteer has expressed an interest.

iv. 19:36 Litter pick Road signs delivered. 

It was Proposed, Seconded and Resolved that two magnetic vehicle signs be ordered.

Clerk to contact NKDC regarding litter picking grant for 2020. 

v. 19:63 Doddington Post box    No further progress.

19:84 To consider policies and documents for review or introduction

i. Asset register

Asset register to be matched against insurance quote

Register to be revised and presented to council for approval 

Asset register to be updated annually.

£500 to be allocated in budget each year to allow for replacement of assets.

ii. Publication scheme

It was Proposed, Seconded and Resolved that the Publication Scheme be adopted.

iii. Risk management scheme

A draft risk management scheme was discussed.
