Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held at the Grain Store Café at Doddington Hall on 16 July 2024 at 7pm
Welcome Councillor Hall welcomed everyone to the meeting and opened the meeting to the public.

County/District Council Updates
 
Min.No 2024.07.02 District Councillor Goldson had no news updates other than there will be changes at the top within North Kesteven District Council following the resignation of the Chief Executive and the District Council were interested to see what will happen with the change in the government and in particular in planning related legislation.

Declarations of Interest
Min. No. 2024.07.05 To receive Declarations of Interest In accordance with The Localism Act 2011 –
Cllr Hall declared an interest in planning application 24/0823/TCA.  Should the Parish Council need to vote on this matter, Cllr Hall will abstain.
 
Minutes of Previous Meeting
Min. No. 2024.04.06 Notes taken at the previous Parish Council Meeting on 20th June 2024 were approved as a true record of events and signed by the Chair.

Policies
Min. No. 2024.07.08 Annual review of Standing Orders.
It was unanimously resolved to approve the Standing Orders with no amendments necessary.
 
Planning

Application Reference: 23/1012/FUL Proposal: Alter and adapt existing car park to allow the construction of a new car park and associated external works including two Padel tennis courts and a recreation/gathering/picnic area. Traffic Update

Cllr Hall advised that she had been in contact with Highways for an update on the situation with the traffic situation and asked that, following the results of the study done in 2022 which showed that 8% of vehicles were exceeding the speed limit equating to over 500 vehicles per day, the study should now be repeated at both ends of the village.  Cllr Hall agreed to follow up with this.
 
Cllr Hall also advised that she had acquired the contact details for another highways team and requested information about installing a temporary 
crossing.
It was reiterated that at this stage, the temporary crossing is just in the investigation stage and it would be necessary to understand the implications in terms of traffic flow and the impact to residents.
 
Village Leaflet
Min. No. 2024.07.11 Cllr Hall advised that the current village leaflet was out of date and the Parish Clerk would deal with updating the information. Parish Clerk
Clerk and Individual Councillors Reports
Min. No. 2024.07.12 Cllr Cunliffe advised that the drainage team had recently been out to check the drains and all were failing.  Cllr Hall agreed to chase this up with Cllr Briggs to check on the status.
 
Issues with tree’s overhanging the pavement at the front of the field was mentioned.  Cllr Hall advised she would have a look.
 
It was also highlighted that there are issues with overgrown trees at the turnaround at the bottom of Kennel Lane and larger vehicles getting scraped.  Cllr Hall advised she would ask the Doddington Hall gardener to have a look. 
 
Correspondence Received
Min. No. 2024.07.13 Cllr Hall advised she had received an email from Lives following the check of the defibrillator and all was in working order and the machine ready for use.
