Lorry at side of road; police car behind

Doddington and Whisby Parish Council has long been concerned about traffic through the Doddington conservation area .

It  would like to see a weight restriction to stop heavy vehicles using the B1190 as a cut through between the A46 and the A57, and a pedestrian crossing to protect visitors to Doddington village. Vehicles have been identified leaving the road have been recorded on many occasions at variious locationsincluding the old railway bridge just to the north of the village.

Discussions are ongoing between the parish council, Cllr Mike Thompson and highways officers at Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Peter Overton at North Kesteven District Council, Dr Caroline Johnson MP and Highways England to find a satisfactory solution.

For more information about this, please contact the Clerk to Council.
