AGENDA 4th March 2024

A Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday 4th March 2024 commencing at 7pm.  

The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed on the attached agenda. 

The meeting is open to the public and there will be a 15-minute public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council in relation to the business on the agenda.

1.   To receive any apologies for absence

2.   To receive any declarations of interest

In accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and consider any requests for dispensation in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests or any other interests as outlined in the Council’s Code of Conduct.

3.   To receive and approve: 

The minutes of the Annual Parish Council meeting 8th January 2024, previously circulated to members and published in draft to the website as required under the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities. 

4.   To acknowledge receipt of the Chair’s resignation from the Parish Council and to take a vote for a new Chair for the Parish Council.

5.   To make arrangements for following required procedures for advertising vacancies on the Parish Council.

6.   To acknowledge receipt of the Clerk’s resignation and make plans for advertising for a new Clerk.

7.   Finance

a)   To formally note items of income

b)   To formally approve items of expenditure

c)   Bank reconciliation for the year to date to be approved

d)   To review spend against budget

e)   To consider Membership of LALC for 2024-25 at a cost of £97.96

f)   To consider joining the LALC annual training scheme at a cost of £100 + vat

g)   To arrange updating the authorised signatories for the bank

8.   Planning and tree works

9.   To receive any updates on requested speed gun training.

10.   To consider suitable use of received CiL funding, including an update on the new defibrillator cabinet purchased.

11.   To consider any updates required for the Emergency Scheme of Delegation and the need for an Emergency Plan. 

12.   To receive updates to the proposals for a Puffin Crossing near Doddington Hall.

13.   To consider any further potential safety measurements near Doddington Hall.

14.   Clerk and Councillors Reports (for information only), including a review of actions from minutes and matters that Councillors wish to be brought to the next or subsequent meetings.

No decisions may be made under this section, but councillors may wish to use this to flag up issues.
