April 2021 Minutes Annual Parish Meeting

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held remotely at 7pm on Monday 12th April 2021.
Cllr Patrick chaired the meeting. Clerk to Council J Kilcoyne was in attendance. There were 8 other attendees.
1 To receive the minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 13th May 2019
The minutes of the Meeting of Parish Council held on 13th May 2019 were accepted as a true record and would be signed by the Chairman.
2 To receive a report from the Chairman of the Parish Council
The Chairman provided a written report and spoke about: litter; speed limits; flooding; website; play area and S106 funding; a HGV ban; pedestrian crossing; Community Speedwatch; telephone kiosk; road signs and council vacancies. Volunteers assisting the Parish Council were thanked.
3 To receive the clerk’s report on finances

NKDC had changed the way calculations were made for the precept in 2021-2022. Council reduced the total budget to keep the cost for Band D properties level at £78.97 per year.
4 To receive a report from representatives
• Lincolnshire County Council
Cllr Thompson provided a written report and spoke about the Lincoln Eastern Bypass, proposals for the North Hykeham relief road, public health; fire service fleet.
The meeting discussed a proposal for a pedestrian crossing in Doddington to be considered by LCC in June.
• North Kesteven District Council
Cllr Overton reported on NKDC AGM; elections; postal voting; Thorpe on the Hill holding lagoon for liquid fertilizer; countryside code; litter.
5 To receive a report from St Peter’s Church
Rev Sam Durant provided a written report and spoke about services, weddings and visiting the community.
6 To thank volunteers who have assisted the Parish Council and community
The Chairman dealt with this matter during his earlier report.
7 To receive questions and comments from members of the public
